Software recommendations

I am looking for recommendations for a freeware icon editor(high rez) and a
program that can make snapshots of registry changes after a program installation.

I tried regshot, but wasn't helpful.

as for the icon editor, there are a couple threads that cover that nicely - use the forum search tool   :U

as for the registry monitor - i don't really know of a good freebie - i am kinda looking for one, msyself   :P
