Title: Flame wars in the Soap Box
Post by: donkey on November 29, 2010, 05:55:22 PM
Well, after a discussion with Hutch in which I volunteered to moderate the Soap Box once again (I moderated it when the board was created years ago) I am now going to be watching this forum for flame wars and posts which violate the stated purpose of the sub forum. It seems that lately there has been all too much politics and personal attacks in the Soap Box and many flame wars have developed because of it. So the policy is now zero tolerance on political threads or personal attacks here, they will either be moved to the Colosseum where they belong or deleted outright. This forum is not the proper place for those types of threads and the new edit policy will border on draconian.

Comments are welcome

Edgar

The new rules work for me buddy. I tend to favor the "The Orphanage" for my bullshit so if Steve doesn't mind I'll just keep on dumping it there. :bg

Edgar,
As always,...you are just TOO reasonable.
When we're not programming,...our true natures emerge. And, it's ugly.
There,...I just flamed everyone (including myself).
Yes, we desperately need guidance.

Actually there is a recreational alternative to Flame wars in the soap box, Soap wars in the flame box (AKA The Colosseum) to the sound track of "I'm forever blowing bubbles".  :P

Really, what we need is a new forum: COMPLETE BULLSHIT
...it'll be like Rehab,...except, we'd all be incredibly annoying,...
...In fact, I could be moderator,...and if you weren't all wrong all of the time,...I'd ban you,...
...hell, I'd have to ban ME,...occasionally, I come up with something that seems plausible,...

Hi baltoro,

Sorry to say that only moderators can see your posts, and yourself of course wouldn't want you to get paranoid.

Hi baltoro,

Actually Hutch keeps a complete up to the minute mirror of this site and any requests coming from your IP are redirected there through a proxy. That way, when your posts are auto-deleted you have no way of knowing since you only see the mirror. The mirror's server shares space with a number of hacker groups known to the CIA and other international security organizations, in no way is Hutch keeping your visits to the server a secret from those organizations, that would be wrong. Instead each time you visit the forum a ping with your IP signature goes out to CIA headquarters in Langley appearing to be routed through a well known anti government hacker networks server. Hope this explains how he's set all of it up for you...

 :dazzled:

That sounds seriously complicated, a dirty deal from the UK government that routes some internet traffic to the KGB who then feed it to Slobodan Bin Gaddafi who in turn selectively leaks it to Saint Julian (Wikileaks) so that we all know when Vladimir Putin is porking Sarko's girlfriend at one of the Italian prime minister's "cruises".

Damn, what happened to the simple things of life when Profumo ended up in hot water and brought down a UK government from testing his "cigar" in Christine Keeler ?

Think about that this topic provokes offenders and amateurs of the content after the FBI warning sexual content message

you may be in trouble with that option, the fairy penguins that come up to OZ to breed may object to your p0rn alert as limiting their procreative activities.
